Explore Old Ice Pond via Kayak or Canoe during a self-guided paddle, or join up with a QWR Educator to learn about the history, and flora and fauna. Observe the various species of freshwater fish, turtles, and birds which live in and around this 100+ year old pond that was originally created for ice harvesting for the Quogue Ice Company. A scavenger hunt/ID chart will be available. A program for adults and families. Reservations and pre-payment required as space is limited. This program will be weather dependent. Single kayaks, double kayaks, and canoes will be available for reservation by calling 653-4771. Reservations and payment required in advance. $20.00 per person. Space is limited, so reserve early.

Kayaks and canoes must be reserved in advance as there is limited availability. Children 10 and up may paddle their own kayak, but must be accompanied by a supervising adult. All individuals will be required to sign a waiver and wear a life jacket.
