Photography & Facility Use

Professional Photo Sessions

We require that all photographers and their clients who schedule a photo session here either are or become a Member of the Refuge at the Family Level or above. All photo shoots must be scheduled in advance to ensure that they don’t conflict with our scheduled programming, please call the center at 631-653-4771 to schedule a time or for more information.

Balloons are not permitted at the Refuge at any time.

Amateur nature photographers are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the trails at any time during our hours of operation.

Facility Use

The trails are available for use by groups who would like to walk independently. However, we ask that you call our Center at 631-653-4771 to schedule your trip so that we can ensure that it does not conflict with any of our scheduled programming. Picnicking is not permitted.

The QWR is a non-profit preserve which is open 365 days a year, and is free of charge for the general public. Charging nominal fees for programs allows us to remain this way.
