Dear Quogue Wildlife Refuge Members and Friends,
We have been monitoring the Covid-19 virus updates and recommendations closely through the CDC website. The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and the community is of utmost important to us.
Our Restroom Facilities, Nature Center, and Greenhouse are closed to the public until further notice. All March programs have been cancelled, this includes Weekly Yoga with Amy Hess, the Live Owls program on March 21st, and the Seals of Long Island Program on March 28th.
Currently, the nature trails remain open from sunrise and sunset for your well being.
Most importantly – please remember to engage in social distancing during your visit, retain a distance of 6 feet between you and other guests.
We would like to remind visitors that there are No Dogs Allowed on the Refuge property. Their presence is distressing to the animals in our outdoor wildlife complex, and to the ducks and geese that call the Refuge home.
We are wishing all of you good health and hope you find ways to enjoy daily simple pleasures! Thank you!
If you have any questions, call our office at 631-653-4771.
We will continue to post updates on our website about Refuge programs and Nature center hours.
Be well & stay safe,
Michael J Nelson
