Mothing: A Nocturnal Adventure
July 30 @ 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Discover the secret nightlife of the Refuge! Join us outdoors for a fascinating evening exploring the world of moths. We’ll start by whipping up a special batch of all-natural moth bait, then head out to spread it in prime moth-spotting locations. As night falls, we will watch for the incredible variety of species that may arrive for the feast. Guiding us through the adventure is Jared Dyer, Entomology Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension, who will share insights about the hundreds of native moth species in our region and helping identify visiting moths. Come experience the magic of moths. A program for adults and families. $10 per person.
Refund Policy: Program tickets are non-refundable unless we, Quogue Wildlife Refuge, cancel the program due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If you decide to cancel, your class fee will be donated to support our mission driven work at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge.
