Annual Appeal 2021

November 8, 2021

Dear Members and Friends,

This year we celebrate 87 years as a wildlife sanctuary and preserve. If you’ve come for a visit in recent months, you’ll likely have noticed some recent renovations to the grounds—a new timber frame entrance, new gates and fencing along the front to replace the old chain-link, and many new native plants installed in the pollinator garden. You may also have noticed the addition of several new benches this year. Each one of these enhancements is made possible through your generosity and support.

As we embark on another year, we invite you to be part of our future as we strive to both maintain the integrity of our history and make changes that help the Refuge better serve you, the community, the resident animals, and the 305-acres of trails for all to enjoy. You are the past, our present, and future of the Refuge and we thank you for your generosity and support through it all.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Nelson

Executive Director
